Starr is a third-year B.Arch student at Carnegie Mellon University and is using the scholarship to support her education. 

After receiving the Spring 2023 award, Starr shared: "I dream of designing place-based structures that will positively impact the world through environmental sustainability and community-centered design. Being a recipient of the MAPS scholarship will help to support me through my journey of discovering the vast world of architecture."
